What we've been up to

I'm horribly behind so I thought I'd post a few pictures of some stuff we've done in January and then vow to do better in the future.

Chris loves to build and has recently re-discovered his tinker toys. He draws designs for different things and then tries to recreate them using his tinker toys, legos, blocks, etc. I think we have an architect on our hands. He loves school. We just had our teacher conference last night and he is doing very well. We are very proud of him.

Spencer loves all things pirate. He loves to dress up like a pirate and plays with his play-mobile pirate stuff daily. Spencer's other love is games.

Evan has recently come up with a way to combine both of these things. He came up with a pirate game (board and game pieces too) called "Scallywags." Spencer begs to play this with whoever is willing.

Sophia's new craze is painting her fingernails. In fact the only way she will let us clip her fingernails is if we promise to paint them afterward. She has to show everyone that her nails are painted and declare the color too.

Today at the grocery store she had to show the cashier that her nails were "pre-pre" (pretty) and painted "bo" (blue). Luckily the cashier was a grandma and went along with it. Another thing she is doing is practicing her smile. We can't get a decent picture of her looking at the camera because instead of looking happy she usually looks like she is in pain. Her brother's did this too so I'm sure it will pass but until then be warned she loves pulling faces=)

Everyone is excited for Baby Boy Stephens to come. The boys always want to know if they can feel him kicking yet and Sophia is always pointing to my ever expanding stomach and saying "baby." Life is good!
