Our amazing kids decided to set up a "Date" for Evan and I. They spent days putting it together. Chris did most of the decorations and the menu and made the food. Spencer was the waiter, and Sophia and Rhys were the entertainment. We had the chocolate milk, love sundae (ice cream with a chocolate syrup heart on top), and a snickerdoodle. We got to pay in hugs and kisses. Our kids are pretty special!
Chris earned the Principal's Pride Award for a second time in April for synergizing (he apparently has done well working together with other kids and brainstorming ideas especially with ways to solve math problems). He was very excited. We are very proud of him and his hard work!
Since the boys' elementary school mascot is a Knight the school always has a "Knight" at the Museum art display. Spencer was quite proud of his self portrait, missing teeth and all.
Chris did a Picasso-styled self portrait. Pretty cool!
I decided to make a fun count down for our trip to Disneyland. One month to go! Everyone was very excited.
We had a dozen kids at our house one day, luckily it was a nice day so they could play outside for most of the time :) We are lucky to have so many good friends and neighbors to play with!
Rhys is quite the character. Every night he shows us his "sugar bugs" before we brush his teeth and then tells us "Let's go get them!"
Here he is practicing his shot from a sand trap (without pants, works well for him :)
And just to keep it real here he is throwing a fit because he wanted Thomas swim trunks, but he already has a swim suit. That explanation didn't go over very well :) Notice he took off his shoes and socks, if he hadn't been secured in his seat he would have taken off all his clothes as well. This is his new way to show his anger, get naked.
Sophia had her last dance recital. She danced very well.
She was very excited to get flowers after her performance from Daddy.
She loved to look at them any chance she got. Sophia is such a girl!
Sophia went to a birthday party and was transformed into a butterfly. What a fun idea.
April also marked the end of the boys' soccer seasons. They both had fun playing but Chris has decided it is not his thing and won't play next year. They both improved a lot and we are glad they had fun.
